Technology Choices

Your Best Technology

ISI will optimize your design using the most appropriate ASIC technology for your requirements: FPGA, Structured Array, Standard Cell, and even full custom. ISI currently has access to process technologies from 1um down to 65nm CMOS digital and 0.18um analog processes.

Programmable Devices

Programmable logic devices are the optimal choice for fast turn around, high margin production and ASIC prototyping. In fact, ISI can design and deliver FPGA prototypes in as little as 24 hours.

Structured Array

Structured Arrays offer another intermediate solution to customized ASICs. Many bases with various levels of memory content are available from several suppliers. ISI can identify which one would be best for your application.

Standard Cell

Standard cell ASICs implement custom functions with proven standard cell libraries and IP blocks. Standard cell designs are usually more cost effective than structured arrays for high volume or mixed analog and digital designs. ISI has complete access to the most popular standard cell libraries and the industry's most advanced design tools.

Full Custom

Full custom is the most cost effective ASIC technology for high volume or highly specialized applications. ISI's designers have the most experience in full custom design of any design resource on the east coast.

Design for Test and Manufacturing

All ASICs are designed to ensure manufacturability. Just as important, ISI designs for testability, using full scan, boundary scan, and BIST as required, to ensure the smoothest production flow.

Packaging

ISI will insure that your package is right for the job. ISI will determine the package features that you need for your ASIC considering SSO, electrical, thermal and physical requirements.
